Kristoffer Karnes brings more than a decade of experience in land management, mineral acquisitions, and energy asset development across some of the nation's most significant oil and gas producing regions, including the Permian, Anadarko, Arkoma, Barnett, Utica, and Mississippi Lime plays.

Throughout his career, Kristoffer has worked with major publicly traded and privately held exploration and production companies, managing assets through their full lifecycle. His expertise spans acquisitions and divestitures, asset management, development opportunities, and infrastructure development. He has acquired more than 100,000 acres of surface and mineral interests, bringing extensive transactional and operational experience to his work.

Today, through Madrono LLC, a family office, Kristoffer focuses on acquiring oil and gas mineral and working interests, drawing on his industry experience and long-term perspective on asset ownership.

Education & Industry Leadership

Kristoffer holds a Master of Energy Business (2014) and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Energy Management, with a minor in Finance (2010), both from the University of Tulsa. He was a three-year letterman in track and field at Tulsa, following one year as a letterman at Tulane University.

A Certified Professional Landman (CPL), Kristoffer authored the Permian Basin Field Report for Landman Magazinefrom 2017 to 2024. He also served on the board of the Tulsa Area Petroleum Landman organization from 2021 to 2023 and has participated in various committees of the American Association of Professional Landmen (AAPL) throughout his career.

Kristoffer resides in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
